Food Sorting @ Feeding South Florida

Feeding South Florida rescues millions of pounds of food per year and before it can be distributed the product needs to be inspected and sorted. That's where we come in. We'll sort through food in a fun, safe and friendly environment. Feeding South Florida is always in need of more volunteers and when we work together we're able to help them process an impressive amount of food for local people in need.

What to wear: *CLOSE-TOED SHOES ARE REQUIRED* If you do not wear close-toed shoes you will not be able to volunteer. Please dress comfortably, sometimes it can get warm in the sorting room. 

Age Requirement: Anyone over the age of 12 can volunteer. Volunteers ages 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult. Any volunteer under the age of 18 will need a signed parental consent form to participate.

SAFETY ALERT: Feeding South Florida takes safety seriously and follows CDC protocols. We can only do our work by adhering to health requirements.  All volunteers are asked to help keep our team and each other safe by staying six feet apart, wearing masks and gloves, and refrain from touching – even elbows or feet – as a way of greeting one another. It's a food service mandate to follow these protocols. Feeding South Florida will provide gloves, volunteers must provide their own mask (if you need a mask to volunteer, please reach out to us at info@volunteersofthepalmbeaches.com prior to the event).
