About The Event

Want to get hands on in the Garden? Volunteer at Mounts Botanical Garden for their monthly Grooming in the Garden event. All experience levels are welcome, whether you are new to gardening or a have a certified green thumb. Volunteers will assist with weeding and pruning in selected areas of the Garden. After your volunteer shift, you're welcome to enjoy the gardens free of charge. 

Age Requirment: Ages 12+ are welcome, children 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult. 

What to Bring: It's recommended you bring sunscreen, hat, and gloves.  Water and a sandwich provided for volunteers. 

Directions: Parking is available in the front of the garden. Upon walking through the front gate, turn left and enter the gift shop. Volunteers will sign in at the front counter.

Volunteer Leaders: The head gardeners at Mounts Botanical Garden will be the lead volunteers for this event. 

Mounts Botanical Garden is Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest botanical garden with more than 2,000 species of tropical and sub-tropical plants. Located behind Palm Beach International Airport, the Garden is a hidden gem. The Garden's 14 acres include 25 unique garden areas with everything from flowering trees and shrubs, to tropical fruit trees, bromeliads, palms, herbs, a vegetable garden, butterfly garden, rose garden, and much more. The Garden's centerpiece is beautiful Lake Orth where visitors can stroll the overlooks to see the koi and turtles that are in abundance. You can learn more about the garden here.
