About The Event
Living Hungry is a local nonprofit that works to nourish children well to realize their full potential. With food donations received through the Farm to Family Program, distributions for food are scheduled for every Wednesday morning in June from 7:30am until 11:00am.
Volunteers are needed to flag cars according to the number of families represented, unload 20 lb boxes from trucks and place them in the trunks of each car. Volunteers are asked to wear a mask (if you don't have one, one will be provided for you) and be proactive about maintaining social distancing.
Although all distribution events in June will be held in West Palm Beach, not all locations have been approved yet.
Directions: June 3rd will be held at Dreher Park. Volunteers should enter the park at the Southern Avenue entrance, and park in the back of the lot.
Age Requirments: Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older. Volunteers aged 14-18 must be accomanied by an adult at all times.
About the Nonprofit: Living Hungry is a charity born of the belief every child has a potential worth nourishing. Poverty setbacks and malnutrition plague our at-risk teens and homeless youth worst. Living Hungry is created to provide nutrition products and logistical solutions by teaming with funding partners to change the storyline and unleash hidden genius in the next generation. Living Hungry is proud to partner with South Florida Hunger Coalition as fiscal agent on social innovation programs across Florida. They aim to change what hungry children hunger for, and fuel kids' brightest futures.
