Raising Dough for the Food Rescue Revolution

Help raise some dough at Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza for our newest volunteer program, the Food Rescue Revolution! We've partnered with Food Rescue US to help eliminate hunger in Palm Beach County, and help our environment by limiting the food that goes into landfills. 

20% of all dine-in and take-out at Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza's West Palm Beach location on Thursday, 1/16 will be donated to food rescue program efforts in Palm Beach County. Make sure to tell your server you're dining to support Volunteers of The Palm Beaches, Food Rescue Revolution. 

The challenges are clear, more than 50 million Americans are food insecure. More than 40 billion meals are wasted a year. The solution is simple- A community working together to rescue would-be wasted food and deliver it to our food insecure neighbors.

This program will be made up of 3 critical community branches. This is how it will work:

1. If you’re a restaurant, grocer or other food provider, you'll list surplus food that you want to donate.

2. If you are a volunteer with a vehicle, you'll see the complete schedule of food rescues and choose deliveries that work for you.

3. If you are a receiving agency such as a community kitchen or food pantry, you'll post your needs and find food to match them.

Wherever you are – and however much time you have – this new program will let you play a critical role in rescuing and delivering meals!
