Roosevelt Rocket Reading Buddies

Roosevelt Rockets Reading Buddies is a great way to give back to the community in a meaningful way. This is a fun opportunity to visit a local school and read to 1st graders. Literacy is key to success and Reading Buddies help! Their goal is to have 50 people, so that as many students as possible can have their own reader. This activity lasts around an hour and happens the first Friday of the month during the school year. They are on their 6th year and many readers come back month after month because they enjoy it so much. This is the 3rd year our group has attended and volunteers always enjoy it.

Check-in is 11:15-11:25am, and we'll be reading to the kids from 11:30am-12:15pm. Photo ID needed to sign-in. Please arrive on time.
