Shopping Buddies @ Palm Beach County Back to School Bash

The Community Back to School Bash collaborates with nonprofit organizations throughout Palm Beach County that serve disadvantaged students Pre-K through 12th grade by providing supplies, backpacks, information and resources to empower children to begin the school year with confidence!

This is a large event that helps hundreds of children! Shopping buddies are needed to help guide the children through a “store” of new school supplies and school uniforms. Each child has the opportunity to select grade-appropriate items including backpacks, pens, pencils and other much-needed supplies in the style they prefer. These children have limited experience in making the most basic choices for themselves due to their extreme financial situation, so this event is a rare treat for them. Along with the school supplies, children have access to free haircuts, and free health screenings. Families also have access to additional resources available through vendors.

Volunteers must be 18 years and older.
