About The Event
Join us as we volunteer at Morikami Museum's Lantern Festival! The festival features Japanese folk-dancing, drumming, an Ennichi street fair and iconic lantern floating ceremony in a fall festival in the spirit of Obon – Japan’s summer homage to ancestors who return for a brief visit to the living. The event also has an iconic lantern floating ceremony and firework display. Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks to help make the festival a success.
**All volunteers must sign up on the Morikami Museums website here: https://morikami.org/lantern-festival-volunteer-application/ Please list Volunteers of The Palm Beaches as the organization you are with.**
Volunteers receive a free meal, and half-priced Food & Beverage tickets as a thank you. Volunteers under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all time.
