About The Event

The United Way of Palm Beach County is in need of water distribution volunteers due to the current water advisory in effect for the parts of the county that get their water from the City of West Palm Beach.  To ensure the most vulnerable have access to water, a basic need, the city has opened locations for water distribution.  And they need volunteers—about 10 per location!  Definitely Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and the need may be extended through the weekend depending on test results. Water disribution sites are at Gains Park, Dreher Park, and in the western communities (8:30am-1pm). In addition to distributing water on site, there is also a request for 2-3 volunteers to distribute water to the homebound.  You would choose one of the three locations, fill your car with water, and be given a delivery route.

Age Requirment: Volunteers must be 18 years of age and older.

About the Nonprofit: The United Way of Palm Beach County's mission is to ensure that everyone in Palm Beach County has access to the basics: a quality education, a place to live, financial stability, good medical care, and enough to eat.
