It was a magical night last night at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens Lantern Festival! 🏮✨ 500 lanterns took to the lake at dusk, followed by fireworks all in the spirit of Obon – Japan’s summer homage to ancestors who return for a brief visit to the living. Over 200 volunteers worked behind the scenes to help make the event a success.
